| Then, you notice the motion. Our trademark "panned" candies are produced by tumbling hundreds of pounds of nuts or chocolates in a big rotating pan and adding colorful, tasty stuff to coat them. A twelve-foot rotating tube breaks apart hard candy drops and delivers them into a bin to be finished with sugar crystals. In the packing room, a continuous roll of bright packaging suddenly turns into a bag of candy-covered chocolates, which is whisked up a conveyor belt and deftly packed into boxes by our staff. Machines and people are constantly moving and the results are delicious.
Then, you notice the kaleidoscope of candy colors all around. Vibrant shades of pink and purple, green and blue, peep out of the Jordan almond pans. Rich brown of butter and nuts bubbles up in the shiny copper toffee pans. Dark, dark chocolate, polished to a high sheen, glints in the chocolate room. Candy is everywhere and it is all beautiful. To experience how we make our candies, we invite you to take one of our video tours, each featuring a signature Sconza candy. Jordanettes® are our ownJordan almonds. Screamers® are our screaming hot jawbreakers. Beanheads® are our version of classic Boston beans. Our jawbreaker tour shows you the basics of one of our oldest confections.
